Corporate Knights

Throughout my career, I’ve worked for several major magazines, but my longest and most impactful contribution has been as Creative Director for print issues of Corporate Knights, an environmental and business magazine, published quarterly. Since 2011, I’ve worked closely with editors, illustrators, and photographers; producing artwork and headlines on topics like climate change, politics, and finance. I made it my mission to rebrand “environmental” issues, for a wider audience, and after my redesign, won Magazine of the Year Canada, 2013.

Esquire & Popular Mechanics

As Director of Mobile Editions for Esquire & Popular Mechanics, 2013—2015, I oversaw the Phone and iPad versions of each magazine. Tasked with creating new content, I saw the opportunity to expand into podcasts, and working with journalist Kevin Dupsyk and then Editor in Cheir Ryan D’agostino, we created the first podcast studio at Hearst, launching and producing two shows that I helped write, produce, and host.

Architectual Digest

I was asked to create a 1-minute animation for Architectural Digest using an audio interview with actress Jenny Slate on the topic of her childhood home. — The audio left a lot to be imagined, so I had a great deal of fun injecting some visual comedy.
